To have a valid annual School Board election, 20% of the LILA community needs to vote. All staff and parents or legal guardians of current students, aged 18 and above, are eligible to vote. For electronic elections, voters must complete the entire ballot.
Teacher and parent positions are two-year terms; community member position is a one-year term. School constituents elect four board members in even-year elections and five board members in odd-year elections.
The new members are announced at the Annual Meeting (typically in March or April).
