Boys' Basketball - High School

Thank you to all of you who came to the informational meeting on October 8th! Here is a powerpoint from the meeting. It has important information about both middle school and high school basketball at LILA.

Twin Cities Athletic Conference:

Great news! We have partial membership in the Twin Cities Athletic Conference for boys' high school basketball this year! This means we will be able to participate in a conference tournament, compete against member schools, and have the opportunity to compete in sections (due to our membership with the MSHSL).

Season Details:

Boys' high school basketball is open to all LILA 7th-12th grade boys. 7th and 8th graders will need to try out for the team. 9th-12th graders will automatically make the team. The season will run November 20th-beginning to middle of March depending on how we do in the post season. Registration is now open on FeePay. All participants need a current sports physical on file (good for three years) and the FeePay registration paperwork completed before they will be allowed to participate in any practice or game. Registration should be completed by November 15th.

Cost:

$280 (This partially covers coach stipends, equipment, bus fees, official fees, gym rental fees, admin fees, fees paid to our conference, etc. There will be additional fundraising needed to fund the program.)

Boys' Basketball - Middle School

Thank you to all of you who came to the informational meeting on October 8th! Here is a powerpoint from the meeting. It has important information about both middle school and high school basketball at LILA.

Boys' middle school basketball is open to all LILA 6th-8th grade boys. The season will run January 8th-end of February/beginning of March. Registration is now open on FeePay. All participants need a current sports physical on file (good for three years) before they will be allowed to participate in any practice or game.

Cost:

$180

7th and 8th grade try outs for the high school team:

7th and 8th grade boys have the option to try out for the high school team. 7th and 8th graders need to be registered on FeePay for the middle school team before they will be allowed to participate in try outs as the school needs a sports physical, MSHSL eligibility forms and emergency information on file. If a 7th or 8th grader makes the high school team, they will then pay the additional fee to join the high school team at that time.

Try outs will be Tuesday, November 20th, Wednesday, November 21st, Tuesday, November 27th, and Wednesday, November 28th. Any 7th and 8th grader who doesn't make the high school team will be strongly encouraged to participate in the middle school season.

We need a head and an assistant coach! This could be YOU!

Contact Jenni Muras if you are interested at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. This is a paid position.
