Mar. 2 - Evening Conferences

Mar. 3 - Morning Conferences

Dear Families,

We had our Kinder Prep Open House with new families yesterday morning and evening and it was a great time to see and get to know new students and families.  This week we will work on letter Q and the Heart as a shape. We will also will continue working on “The Family” Unit. You will be getting an All ABOUT ME poster to complete with your child. Please take a few minutes to do this with your child and send it back ASAP. They love to share things they have done with you in our class.

We at Kinder Prep also want to announce to you that two of our Kinder Prep teachers will be participating in the Polar Plunge in Forest Lake on February 25th. All the money that  people donate will be for the school. It is something fun, but also really risky, but they are ready to do that  and more for this school, so I want to encourage you to make a donation online in the following link:

Finally, we want to remind you that if your child is currently in Kinder Prep you do not  have to apply again for next school year. If you are planning to change the days to attend for next school year 2017-18, please email Blanca letting her know your new choice. If you are planning to attend the same days your child is right now, please pay the $40 Registration Fee through Fee Pay in order to save the spot. Again, thank you for helping us make this such a positive bridge between the caring and learning of home and school! We look forward to a fun and educational year and are so happy to know you will be part of it.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to email or call.

October Calendar and New Unit

October calendars were placed in mailboxes today. Kinder Prep is starting a new PYP unit with the central idea: We can express our feelings and ideas through play.

Most of our story time books will be from the Mo Willems’ series "An Elephant & Piggie Book." The stories are based around the theme of playing and friendship.  We will end the unit in November with an Elephant and Piggie Party!

Note from Our School Nurse

Immunization records are being entered in the system. The status in Schoolview and SchoolAdmin may not correctly reflect your submission of records. Thank you for your patience as we get them entered.

Past but pertinent:

FROM THE PTO:

  • The PTO's first General Meeting of the year will be Tuesday, September 29 at 7pm in the Lower School Gym. Teachers from grades 1-5 will be presenting a brief overview of the activities and learning objectives that make their grade level unique. Everyone is welcome, as it is a great chance to learn about your child's grade level as well as to preview the grades to come. If you have any questions about the PTO, please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Snack Schedules:  Classroom teachers are in the process of setting up snack schedules for their classrooms.  Each family will be asked to bring snack a couple times a year.  Since some students attend full weeks, while other only attend a few days a week, we ask that you only provide for the number of days that your child attends.  We appreciate your help in keeping our classroom snacks healthy and “nut-free.”

Payments - Fee Pay

September’s programs fees were due September 22 - All payments MUST be submitted manually online through FeePay.  This helps our program immensely, as we do not have a billing department.  As seamless as we can make the payment process, the better!
