Festival of Cultures 2015 Group Shot

LILA ambassadors and the LILA ambassador committee shared their heritage at last week's Festival of Cultures. Spain, Colombia, and China were the countries represented this year.

  • Have you checked us out on Facebook yet? Recent posts include Profe Mayca's penpals project, LILA student work on display for Clear Channel Art Walk, and more! New updates are added all the time!
  • While you're clicking, check out our new and in-depth LILA Upper School FAQ page on the website. There has been a lot of early interest in enrollment, so please continue to help spread the word to friends and family members! Interested parties can come to an information night or contact the school with questions.
  • April is National Poetry Month! As you and your family read 30minutes a day this month (LILA's school-wide expectation), consider trying some poetry! Pre-readers love hearing rhythms and rhymes, and more proficient readers can incorporate new genres into the materials they are already reading for homework or for fun.

  • It's BoxTop Time! It's time to collect and turn in any BoxTops for Education that you've been collecting over the spring. Teachers will be tallying their classroom totals from now until the end of May. The classroom with the most BoxTops will earn an ice cream party!

  • Playdate? Sleepover? If your child is going home with a friend on the bus, please send a signed note with the instructions.  The front office needs to sign it so that the student can show it to the bus driver upon boarding. A printed and signed copy is necessary for your student to be able to ride.

April 20 - 6th Grade Exhibition

April 21 - LILA Board Mtg, 6:30pm.

Make the week great!
