YMCA Youth Programs Open For Registration

The Forest Lake YMCA, one of LILA's partners, offers several programs that fit well with our school’s IB philosophy. Check out these options and register at the YMCA website today! Students can join anytime during the school year.

Y’s Start

For grades 5-8, free for Y Members.
Mondays; choose 3-4:30 OR 6:00-7:30 when you register.

With Y's Start you can:

  • Plan and conduct service projects
  • Develop your team building and leadership skills
  • Meet new people
  • Go on exciting field trips into the community

Leader's Club

Grades 7-12. No cost.
Choose Wednesdays, 3-4pm OR Thursdays, 5-6pm when you register.

At Leader's Club, teens work together to develop leadership skills through volunteering, healthy living, making friends, and fun learning projects. You’ll have opportunities to:

  • Attend workshops on leadership skills
  • Develop team building skills
  • Meet new people
  • Serve others through service projects

Leaders Rallies
Leaders Club participants have the opportunity to attend Leaders Rallies: weekend-long retreats for Leaders Clubs across the Midwest. At rallies, teens hear from speakers and connect with fellow leaders from all over the country.

Central Learning School
A week-long leadership training program that helps teens develop new skills and grow as individuals. More information available online.
