Recently you've heard about a number of ways to incorporate fundraising into the shopping and activities that you may already be doing this holiday season...unless, of course, you've finished all your holiday shopping, in which case we salute you! Here is a quick summary of all the options from LILA:

Scrip:

This is a gift card program that takes a little effort to set up in the beginning, but is easy to use once you get started. Turn in the family agreement, then sign-up for an account, and register for PrestoPay. Read more about PrestoPay here and its security here. Once approved (expect 2-3 business days), you can instantly buy e-gift cards to many major stores and earn money both for the school AND your individual student. They can use the account to off-set a travel experience through LILA!

Example: A current Scrip user says she loads an e-gift card with her phone from the store parking lot before she starts her shopping. Additionally, 3 times a year you can also order physical gift cards. The current deadline for physical gift cards has been extended to December 2, so you still have time if you'd like to order - just make sure to allow a few days to process your registration.

Amazon Smile:

Shopping online? Please sign up for Amazon Smile - it's free and it takes just a few seconds. Amazon donates to LILA based on your purchases. Family and friends can set it up too!

Yearbooks:

While not technically a fundraiser, ordering before January 1 will get you a better price. Use FeePay for this one. Lower School yearbooks cost $21 and Upper School yearbooks are currently at $32. The yearbooks are available at the end of the school year.

Grandparents Day:

All LILA Grandparents are cordially invited to a free hour-long breakfast hosted by the LILA Foundation on December 8! View the invitation here, and be sure to invite grandparents in person if you see them this weekend! They will get to learn about LILA and their child(ren)'s unique international education. Donations are optional.

From all of us at LILA, we are truly thankful for you, your faith in our mission, for entrusting us with your child's education, and for your hard work in staying involved.  We wish you a joyful weekend filled with family, friends, and many memories. We'll see your students back this coming Monday!
