About The Service Project (7-12th Grades Only)
A major focus of the International Baccalaureate Programme is Service as Action. We want to incorporate service and action into as many aspects of LILA as possible. During our 7-12 grade Orientation, students will have the opportunity to contribute their time to Habitat for Humanity by building storage boxes and Adirondack chairs, which will be donated directly to Habitat Homebuyer Families as "welcome home" gifts when they move in, or donated to the ReStore program with the proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity programs.
If students choose to contribute toward the service project supply kits, we encourage YOU (students!) to think about creative ways to raise the funds for the project now and bring $7 per student to Orientation. For example, doing an extra paid chore or two for your relatives or neighbors; asking for a dollar donation from 7 people you know; etc.
See You Soon!
Students, we look forward to seeing you on August 10th! If you cannot attend, because of a family vacation or another prior commitment, don't worry. We’ll have two open house opportunities in late August so that you can check out the building, try lockers, and get all your questions answered.

Minnesota Twins Day - Monday, March 21
Wear your Minnesota Twins gear on March 21!
In honor of Jackie Robinson's achievements in breaking the color barrier in Major League Baseball, the Minnesota Twins will send front office staff and friends to visit with 4th- and 5th-grade students on Monday, March 21, 2016. The visitors will read a story about Jackie Robinson to students and show a brief video; in addition, students could win prizes in a quick trivia contest!
Students in those grades are also invited to participate in the Minnesota Twins' local version of the Jackie Robinson Breaking Barriers Essay Contest. The same contest criteria and rules apply, but students should submit their essays to their classroom teacher by March 24.
All students should wear their Twins gear or anything red or blue to welcome our guests.
